Tribal Council meetings are run under the Robert’s Rules of Order. Therefore, when addressing the Tribal Chairman/President it will be done in such a manner of consideration and respect and during the public comment period, unless otherwise offered. Before a member can speak, they must stand and properly address the Chair/President and be recognized by the Chair/President. The proper address will be “Mr. President or Mr. Chairman”. The public comment period will be limited to three (3) minutes per member to state their opinion on issues that were discussed during the meeting. It is understood that not all members will agree with the decisions of the Tribal Council. By following the protocol the meeting will run in a smooth, respectful and considerate manner. Any member not following the protocol or causing a disturbance during the meeting will be asked to leave the meeting.
